Cancellation of Muslimah Impact Conference and Exhibition, 2023.
Muslimah Impact is a vibrant and empowering platform for Muslim women, providing opportunities to connect, share experiences, and engage in meaningful discussions on topics related to professionalism, entrepreneurship, and societal challenges. Last year’s event witnessed an overwhelming response with over 1000 participants, renowned speakers, and captivating discussions.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of the highly anticipated annual event, Muslimah Impact Conference and Exhibition, scheduled to take place simultaneously in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria, this year. We have made this decision in remembrance and honour of the passing of one of our esteemed speakers from last year’s conference – Mrs. Ghaneeyyah Sulaiman-Olokodana. She made all efforts to be part of last year’s event despite are health situation. The loss of this remarkable individual has deeply affected our Muslimah community during the early planning of this year’s event, and out of respect for her memory and in solidarity with her grieving family, we have chosen to forgo the conference this year. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time, and we extend our deepest condolences for their loss.
While we mourn this loss, we want to emphasize the importance of continuing our mission to empower and uplift Muslim women. We invite all Muslimahs to get involved in the preparations for the 2024 Muslimah Impact Conference. Your support and contributions are crucial in creating an impactful and inspiring event for next year.
