The Widows, Divorcees, and Matured Singles Initiative of Bountiis Charity Initiative continues to play a crucial role in uplifting the lives of single Muslimah through such impactful events, programs, projects and initiatives.

The “Rise and Thrive” initiative of Bountiis Charity Initiative aims to provide support and resources for widows, divorcees, and women in severe marriages, empowering them to overcome challenges and lead fulfilling lives. This initiative recognizes the unique circumstances faced by these women and seeks to address their specific needs by fostering resilience, personal growth, and a sense of well-being. Join the

The event, held on July 15, 2023, in partnership with Brainy Educare, at 136 Bode Thomas, Surulere, Lagos, brought together a diverse group of single mothers to nurture their strength and build resilience in parenting. Attendees benefited from expert-led workshops, learned strategies for balancing responsibilities while prioritizing self-care, and received guidance on navigating emotions and stress.

The Rise and Thrive Parenting RoundTable provided a safe space for like-minded single mothers to network and connect, sharing their experiences and finding solidarity in their journey. Inspirational
speakers like Dr Abimbola Onwuchekwa, Dr Amosu Sakinah and Mrs Eniola Shakirah shared success stories that further motivated participants, instilled hope and a sense of determination as they embraced the strength within themselves.

“Parenting alone can be an overwhelming experience, but events like the Rise and Thrive Parenting RoundTable remind us that we are not alone in this journey,” said Kadiri Medina, a representative from Bountiis Charity Initiative. Medina said that bountiis is dedicated to providing support, guidance, and valuable resources to single Muslimah navigating the challenges of single motherhood.”

 Dr Abimbola Onwuchekwa, a renowned speaker and representative of Brainy Educare Services concluded her session with a question, she said: “Is your parenting style taking your children to the edge or giving them an edge in their life?”

Dr Amosu Sakinah, a guest speaker of Bountiis Charity Initiative, also discussed a very sensitive aspect of parenting, she spoke about the greatest connecting link with their creator. She reiterates that every mother needs need Allah (S.W.T) to help them to raise the child of their dream effortlessly.

The event’s attendees gained access to valuable resources and tools through three activity-packed sessions: “Overcoming Parental Inertia”, “Parenting Styles” and “Your best parenting tool”. With the hope of supporting them to tackle parenting challenges with confidence and grace.
